VMware vSphere 8 Update 2已提供下载

2022年底，VMware推出了vSphere 8，同时支持CPU、GPU和DPU；2023年3月推出了vSphere 8 Update 1，可在单个ESXi主机上支持多达8个GPU，且这些GPU之间可使用NVSwitch技术实现GPU的协同工作；2023年8月推出了vSphere 8 Update 2，进一步支持16个GPU。

vSphere 8 Update 2具有一些重要的功能、增强和改进。最值得注意的是，vSAN 8 Update 2为VMware vSAN Max提供了基础，这是VMware基于vSAN Express storage Architecture（ESA）的新的分解存储解决方案。

vSAN Max 为 vSphere 提供 PB 级分解存储

vSAN Max 由 vSAN Express 存储架构提供支持，是 vSAN 系列中的一项新产品。 vSAN Max 是一种可选部署模型，可为 vSphere 提供 PB 级分解存储。 借助 vSAN Max，用户可以独立于计算扩展存储，从而提供更大的灵活性来支持工作负载。
